ESSEX — These municipal meetings, open to the public, are scheduled in Essex this week:
Selectmen, 7 p.m., Senior Center, upstairs. Town Administrator Brendhan Zubricki’s report on town website improvement recommendations, downtown boardwalk feasibility study, sidewalk at Village Corner, renewal of YMCA summer camp contract, Manchester Essex Regional School District budget planning, USDA Rural Housing Repair and Rehabilitation Loans, and partial release of covenant, Southern Conomo Point Subdivision; Chief Peter Silva to introduce Melissa Cennami, a candidate for part-time police officer; department head quarterly meeting; provide guidance relative to Town Hall renovations; vote to add articles, close, approve and sign Special Town Meeting Warrant; vote to hold Special Town Election on Dec. 10, add single ballot question, approve and sign Special Town Election Warrant; consider approving a change order for improvements to the Southern Conomo Point roadway, carryover vacation time for a clerical employee and a request from John Broderick, manager, to close Lewis’ Oyster House of Essex for repairs and renovations from Monday, Oct. 29 through March 3; review, approve, and sign the supplemental page to the application for the COA Formula Grant and 911 Training Grant.
Also consider a request from the First Universalist Church of Essex to hold its annual lantern walk at Centennial Grove on Saturday, Nov. 3 from 4:30 and 9 p.m. and to waive the rental fee; finalize location of harbormaster’s shed; various items regarding Conomo Point; discussion regarding the lease, sale, and value of real property at Conomo Point and pending litigation in several cases, executive session expected.
Conservation Commission, 7:30 p.m., TOHP Burnham Library. Continuation of a public hearing on a request by John McNiff Jr. of J&L Land Company LLC to to move the siting of the two residences and remove the approved pool from the plan at Lot 7 Low Land Farm Road. Public hearing on Kimberly Isabell reuqest to install an elevated boardwalk and a 10-by-6 foot deck at 11 Patriots Lane. Continuation of a public hearing on Stephen Kelley of P.T. Kelley Inc.’s request to raise the grade of an existing backyard to mitigate flood risk at 97 Conomo Point Road.
