Essex Police/Fire: Driver escapes injury in Chebacco accident

ESSEX — A Chebacco Terrace resident drove her vehicle into a tree during what police called a minor parking accident Tuesday morning.

There were no reported injuries, police said.

According to police, the woman was driving her vehicle into a parking spot on Chebacco Terrace about 9:46 a.m., when she accidentally hit the car's gas pedal instead of the brake.

The vehicle travelled up an embankment and struck a tree, causing some front-end damage to the car, police said. Tally's Towing removed the vehicle from the scene.
