Manchester Police/Fire: Home CO alarm proves to be false

MANCHESTER — A carbon monoxide detector at an empty house on Washington Street went off at 5:50 p.m. Monday.

The town's Fire Department disconnected the alarm in order to silence it, but no carbon monoxide was found.

Police received a call regarding an alleged suspicious person on Brook Street ducking between the houses at 1:39 a.m. Tuesday. The incident is under investigation, police said.

A man was reported trespassing on Masconomo Street at 12:19 p.m. Tuesday.

The man, described as wearing a red jacket, walked onto a yard, then drove away. Police found his car stopped in the parking lot of Crosby's near the train station, but when he was spoken to, the man told the responding officer he had merely been admiring the view.
