Rockport Police/Fire: Firefighters douse Neck barrel fire

ROCKPORT — The Rockport Fire Department was called to Bearskin Neck at 2:46 p.m. Monday for a report of a trash barrel on fire.

By the time firefighters arrived, the barrel was smouldering and responders were able to extinguish it quickly.

A Curtis Street woman reported that she was bitten by a dog at 4:35 p.m. Monday near Pine Pit. The woman said the owner of the dog had refused to give her name; the victim was referred to the dog officer.
