ESSEX — Charges were pressed Tuesday against a Danvers man who had allegedly stollen aluminum from an Essex business, then resold that aluminum to scrap metal yards in June, police said.
Jonathan H. LaPointe, 24, is being charged with larceny over $250.
Essex police said a "large quantity" of the aluminum was stolen from the Western Avenue business.
Detective Ryan Davis was the investigating officer credited with solving the case.
A man called Essex police to report two kids riding Razr scooters on Main Street at 2:07 a.m. Monday, according to police.
Police responded to Main Street and advised the kids to return home since they were violating Essex's town curfew, police said.
A 27-year-old Essex man was issued a criminal citation after police pulled over his vehicle on Western Avenue at about 6:50 a.m. Monday.
Steven Ouellet of Belcher Street will go to court to face charges of driving with revoked vehicle insurance, according to Essex Police. Ouellet's vehicle was towed from Western Avenue, and a friend gave Ouellet a ride home, police said.
A tour bus driver was hospitalized after he pulled over the tour bus, filled with tourists, along Western Avenue at about 8:15 a.m. Monday morning, according to police.
The bus driver had parked the bus on the side of the road because he was feeling ill, police said. The driver was taken to Beverly Hospital.
