Manchester Police/Fire; Road sign crashes after clash with vehicle

MANCHESTER — A Mill Street resident reported a loud "crash" to Manchester police early Tuesday morning, with the caller saying the sound came from Route 128, near Exit 15.

Manchester police searched the area and found a road sign on the northbound side that had apparently been vandalized, Police said a vehicle likely struck the sign, but police were unable to locate a damaged vehicle.

Manchester police received two calls from separate callers Monday, reporting a dog on the southbound lane of Route 128 around 8:37 p.m. Manchester police checked and monitored the area, but did not see a dog, police said.
