Manchester board hosts Thursday flu clinic

MANCHESTER — For those who have been putting off the flu vaccine needle, Manchester is offering one last round of free flu shots on Thursday.

The Manchester Board of Health will host its final flu vaccine clinic between 1 and 3 p.m. in the Selectmen’s Meeting Room on the second floor of Town Hall Thursday.

In addition to the regular and high dose flu vaccine, the health board will offer their limited supply of flu mist, which is sprayed into the nose.

Those attending are asked to bring their insurance cards, and to wear a short sleeved shirt for easier access to the needle entry point.

Drugstores and pharmacies on Cape Ann still offer flu vaccinations, at cost, for those unable to get vaccinated at a clinic. Questions may be directed to the Board of Health Office at 978-526-7385.

Marjorie Nesin can be reached at 978-283-7000, x3451, or at mnesin@gloucestertimes.com.
