Manchester Police/Fire: Hiker calls for help getting out of woods

MANCHESTER — A hiker lost on the Cathedral Pines trail off Old School St. called police on his cellphone at 12:28 p.m. Friday to ask for help getting out.

Two officers on bicycles, two officers in patrol cars and Essex officers looked for him, and he was found an hour later on the Essex side of the woods.

A young man was reported ringing door bells on Pleasant Street and running away at 9:42 p.m. Thursday. The man was gone before police arrived.

A tractor trailer ran out of gas just off the off ramp from Route 128 on Pine Street at 10:19 a.m. Friday. The tractor trailer was towed out of the road.
