Essex Police/Fire: Two men face license charges

ESSEX — Two men were each stopped and issued a criminal citation on a charge of driving with suspended licenses.

Scott MacNeil, 42, of Danve Street in Beverly, was stopped on John Wise Avenue at 6:45 a.m. Wednesday. MacNeil was also cited for having an altered inspection sticker, failing to have his car inspected..

Daniel Turner, 29, of Friend Street in Gloucester, was stopped on Main Street at 9:57 a.m. Wednesday.

A man called police at 4:47 p.m. Tuesday to report that he had gotten into an argument with the shellfish warden. The argument was purely verbal, but the man told police he wanted a report on file.

A Story Street resident called police at 5:35 p.m. Tuesday to report her son's mountain bike stolen. The bike, however, was later recovered in front of TOHP Burnham Library on Martin Street.

An boat trailer was reported illegally parked on Conomo Point at 8:45 p.m. Tuesday. It was moved by the owner, and police issued no citations.
