Rockport Police/Fire: Forest firefighters pump out basement

ROCKPORT — Firefighters from the town’s forest fire department were dispatched Monday at 1:45 p.m., to a residence on Marmion Way to pump out a basement that had flooded.

Police said there was a “minor” car accident on Main Street around 9:30 p.m. Monday. Police said there were no injuries and the motorists were able to drive away from the scene.

Tuesday at 6 a.m., police received a noise complaint about trash trucks operating too early in the morning.

Police advised the waste company not to begin its work day until around 7 a.m.

Just before 8 a.m. Tuesday, police assisted a Pleasant Road resident who had locked their keys in their car.

A Spring Lane man was taken to Addison Gilbert Hospital in Gloucester Monday at 3:50 p.m.
