Gloucester police arrested a 16-year-old boy Thursday morning after a chase that ended off Dr. Osman Babson Road near O'Maley Middle School.
The teenager, who had run away from his home on Maple Street in Glocuester, according to police, was wanted on multiple warrants, including one for malicious destruction of more than $250 in property.
According to police, the boy led police on a chase past O'Maley Middle School and behind the Department of Public Works complex off Poplar Street. Salem Police, Massachusetts State Police and K9 units assisted with the chase.
A 14-year-old Gloucester boy allegedly rode his bicycle into the side of a vehicle at the intersection of Knowlton Square and Madison Avenue at 11:26 a.m. Thursday, police said.
The bicyclist sustained minor scrapes on his body after riding his bicycle into the car, according to police and a 15-year-old witness. Police said no citations will be issued.
A man reportedly severed his fingers in an accident at a Pond Road business Thursday, police said.
The Fire Department's Rescue Squad transported the man to Beverly Hospital for treatment about 12:50 p.m., according to police.
Police were unable to provide further information on the man's condition or the accident Thursday.
