The School Committee is inviting school parents and other community members to attend a workshop for public input regarding what qualities they most want to see in the school district's next superintendent of schools.
The forum is set for Monday at 7 p.m. in the Middl and High School library at 24 Jerden's Lane. For more information, call 978-546-1200.
Neighbors helping neighbors
The Neighbor Brigade, an organization that connects neighbors who can help with those who need assistance with light chores while recovering from cancer treatments, is starting a Cape Ann chapter based in Rockport.
Once the chapter has 25 members, the group can begin taking requests for help, said resident Gina Fettig. Anyone who wants more information should speak with Fettig and can reach her at 978-290-3259.
Lizards and films at the library
The Rockport Public Library is hosting some animals and screening two movies in coming days.
The Rainforest Reptile Show is coming to the library Sunday at 2 p.m. Residents are encouraged to come see and learn about these cool animals, and meet them up close.
The Cabin Fever movie series continue this week with the 2011 film "Moneyball," staring Brad Pitt, playing Saturday at 2 p.m., and the classic "To Kill a Mockingbird" playing Tuesday, also at 2 p.m. The screenings are free to the public.
