Manchester Police/Fire: Driver strikes two deer along Route 128

MANCHESTER — A motorist traveling southbound on Route 128 Wednesday evening struck two deer in the roadway.

Officers were called to the scene at 5:40 a.m. No injuries were reported and the motorist was able to drive from the scene, according to police.

Police responded to a single-car accident at 9:08 a.m. Wednesday on Route 128 southbound.

One person involved was transported to the hospital for treatment, but the vehicle was not towed. Massachusetts State Police are conducting an investigation.

Police responded at 6 p.m. Tuesday for suspicious activity regarding a vehicle driving in and out of driveways. The vehicle was located and was heading toward Route 128 northbound by an officer.

Officers told a party on Pipeline Road at 3:31 p.m. Tuesday that they were trespassing on town property. They were told to vacate the area.

Police received a call regarding alleged “suspicious activity” at 6:48 p.m. Tuesday from a resident at 1 Hickory Hill Road regarding a female banging on their door. She was discovered to be a solicitor, according to police.
