Essex Police/Fire: Wenham teens dealt pot citations

Essex Police/Fire

ESSEX — Three Wenham residents were all issued civil citations for one ounce of marijuana after a motor vehicle stop Wednesday around 6:30 p.m.

Police said that Connor Murdoch of Hull Street was initially pulled over on John Wise Avenue because the vehicle did not have an up to date inspection sticker, for which he was also cited. Passengers Sean Jarvis and Emily Reardon, both 18, were also issued civil marijuana citations, police said.

Police said a dog harassed a resident riding a bicycle on Choate Street around 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Police said the dog did not bite the resident, but the animal control officer was notified. Essex does not have a dog leash bylaw.
