Rockport Police/Fire: Truck brings down Christmas tree lights

Rockport Police/Fire

ROCKPORT — Rockport police received a call Wednesday morning at 7:30 indicating that a delivery truck had accidentally pulled down the lights from the town’s Christmas tree in Dock Square.

An officer spoke to the driver, and the Department of Public Works was notified about the need to restore the lights.

Heavy rains forced a temporary shutdown of a portion of Penzance Road at 3:48 Tuesday. Police put out closure signs for a short time, but the road was reopened later.

A Broadway man was transported to Addison Gilbert at 6:40 a.m. on Wednesday.
