Manchester Police/Fire: Car accident results in hydrant knock down

---- — MANCHESTER — Police said that a car’s blown out tire struck a fire hydrant Tuesday around 1 p.m. on School and North Streets.

Police said there were not injuries in the accident, but a car had to be towed from the area.

Monday, a Tappan Street man reported harassing phone calls to police around 11 p.m.

Another car accident was reported at 7:45 a.m. on Beach Street, but police described it as a “minor fender-bender” and both motorists were able to drive from the scene.
