Rockport High School seniors O'Malley Bach and Ben Tuck and sophomore Madeleine Downs were accepted by audition to participate in the 2012 Massachusetts Music Educators Association All-State Festival, ensembles made up of high school students from all over Massachusetts.
Bach will sing bass with the choir, Downs will play violin and Tuck will play trombone with the band.
DECA fund-raiser
The Rockport High School DECA Chapter will be hosting a spaghetti dinner fund-raiser next Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Fish Shack Restaurant in Dock Square.
Tickets are $8 each and may be purchased from a member of the DECA chapter or by calling 978-546-1234 or emailing slarsen@rockport.k12.ma.us. Proceeds will help with the cost of the DECA members trip to the state DECA competition in March in Boston.

Old Sloop Coffeehouse will present a performance by James Keelaghan on Friday, Feb. 17 at 7:30 p.m. at the First Congregational Church of Rockport, 12 School St., with Chris Pahud and Seth Connelly opening. Tickets are $10 in advance.
The Rockport Treasurer and Collector Roberta Josephson wants to remind Rockporters that water and sewer bills were mailed on Jan. 20, and payment is due by Feb. 20. Please use the envelopes enclosed with the bill when mailing payments.
In an appropriately political accompaniment to the national election season, Rockport Public Library's Cabin Fever movies will show "My Fellow Americans," starting James Garner and Jack Lemmon as former presidents who team up to clear their names when their successor tries to frame them.
The movie will be shown at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the library.
