Young athletes want old metal

Have old metal?

The Chargers Youth Program wants it.

The group, which organizes football, softball and cheerleading leagues for West Gloucester children, is hosting a metal drive fundraiser this Saturday.

The group is accepting any and all metal, including appliances that are at least 10 percent metal and excluding paint cans, televisions and computers monitors, after 8 a.m. at the Charger/Scout House, 35 Concord St., next to the West Gloucester fire station. It is also accepting empty propane tanks for a $10 fee.

Some pickup of items to be delivered to the drive is available by calling Fran at 978-828-3354 or Glen at 978-407-3215.
