Rockport Police/Fire: Rockport man faces drunken driving charge

ROCKPORT — A 25-year-old Rockport man was arrested on a charge of drunken driving charge early Monday morning.

Police arrested Jeffrey Novack of West Wharf Road about 1:34 a.m., after he failed to stop his vehicle for officers who say they observed him speeding on Granite Street, police said.

Police said Novack slowed his vehicle, but continued to drive after police turned on their sirens and lights to signal that he should pull over.

Novack was charged with failure to stop for police in addition to speeding and drunken driving.
