Rockport Police/Fire: Wires felled on Granite Street

ROCKPORT —A telephone pole fell in the wind Thursday, pulling wires down on Granite Street about 12:29 p.m. Police notified National Grid on the issue.

Police contacted National Grid again later Thursday when another wire fell on Granite Street about 2:56 p.m.

Police said a person brought the “Welcome to Rockport” sign into the station about 3 p.m. Thursday. The sign had blown over in the winds, according to police.
