Rockport Police/Fire:

ROCKPORT — Police received a report of an open door at a Railroad Avenue building Thursday around 9:40 p.m., but officers who responded found the building to be secure.

At 10 a.m. Thursday, police responded to a neighborhood dispute about a barking dog on Thatcher Road. Police referred the residents to the town’s animal control officer.

Police responded to a downed wire on Granite Street around 2 p.m. Thursday; officers contacted Comcast, whose crews responded to address the problem.

Just before 4 p.m. on Thursday, police and rescue crews transported a male Mount Pleasant Street resident to Addison Gilbert Hospital in Gloucester.
