Rockport Police/Fire:

ROCKPORT — Police are investigating a possible jewelry theft from an Eden Road home that was reported Friday about 12:42 p.m., police said.

Police are investigating the theft as an instance of breaking and entering.

Firefighters responded to a report of sparking electrical sockets at a Marshal Street residence Friday about 10:15 p.m., police said

Police reported a stranded seal on Cape Hedge Beach and notified the New England Aquarium to report the stranding Saturday at about 1:53 p.m., police said.
