Bombing suspect surrounded in Watertown neighborhood

WATERTOWN - Boston Mayor Thomas Menino says police have someone surrounded in a boat located in the backyard of a two-family home. Police are confirming it is Dzhokhar Tsarnev, one of two brothers suspected in Monday's Boston Marathon bombing.

Tactical teams have descended upon the neighborhood behind the AT&T building in Watertown and there are reports of heavy gunfire.

Investigators have spent the last 19 hours looking for Dzhokhar Tsarnev. His brother Tamerlan was killed in a shootout with police last night. An MBTA transit police officer was critically injured in the shootout.

Both are also suspected in the shooting death of a MIT police officer.

The neighborhood of Franklin Street has been evacuated.

More as it develops.
