---- — ROCKPORT — Christmas Eve proved to be a busy day for Rockport’s police and firefighters.
Receiving reports of an erratic driver near the School Street area, officers arrested 26-year-old Robert Bouche of Medford on Monday at 10:43 a.m. He was charged with operating on a suspended license and disorderly conduct and was pulled over in the Rockport Public Library parking lot.
At 10:33 a.m. police assisted with a resident who locked themselves out of their car on Monday outside the Community House at 58 Broadway.
Then, on Monday at 3:18 p.m., firefighters responded to a call reporting smoke in a residence at Millbrook Park. Police said the incident was caused by unattended food left on the stove top.
Also on Monday, at 5:34 p.m. a male Bradley Wharf resident was transported to Addison Gilbert Hospital.
On Tuesday at 5:557 p.m., a child was transported from Curtis Street to Addison Gilbert Hospital. Police said it was mainly a precautionary measure, and the child had a fever.
