Manchester Police/Fire

MANCHESTER — A local taxi driver had a close call on Saturday.

Police said a taxi was stuck on the train tracks near Boardman Avenue at 10:39 p.m. after dropping off a passenger.

Police said trains were delayed about 20 to 30 minutes and an employee from Cross Towing came to remove the vehicle.

On Tuesday at 8:34 p.m., police responded to a call of reported Christmas night gunshots near Desmond Avenue. Officers, however, did not find any signs of shooting.
