Essex Police/Fire

ESSEX — An Essex teenager has been charged with excessive speeding and driving to endanger in the wake of last week’s car crash on Conomo Point Road

Lam Irwin, 18, of 1 Prospect St., was charged after police said he’d crashed his car into the woods off the road around 7:45 p.m. Friday.

Irwin was transported to Beverly Hospital from the scene, and was treated and released. Irwin’s three passengers were uninjured.

Another vehicle was involved in an accident on Apple Street. As roads were icing over, police said a motorist drove his car off the road on 1 a.m. on Wednesday. There were no reports of injuries.

An alarm went off on a Main Street building at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, but responding officers found everything to be secure.

Police received reports of an erratic operator at around 9 a.m. on Wednesday morning. Police said they received a call about a possible erratic operator coming in from Manchester on Southern Avenue, but could not locate the vehicle.

Around 9:19 a.m. on Wednesday, a female John Wise Avenue resident was transported to Beverly Hospital.
