Rockport Police/Fire: Town plagued by more outages

ROCKPORT — Power outages and downed wires continued to be reported Monday, two days after the Blizzard of 2013 had left the region.

Police said reports of downed wires around Eden Road came in at 12:18 p.m. and 12:29 p.m. Monday.

A power outage was also reported Tuesday at 5:56 a.m. in the area of Marmion Way and South Street. According to National Grid’s outage map, it affected more than 150 people.

Police arrested Mark Sullivan, 64, on a warrant Monday at 7:45 p.m. near his home on Highview Road.

Police did not disclose the nature of the warrant.

A carbon monoxide detector sounded off at 1:10 a.m. on Haddow Road, police said no carbon monoxide was detected.
