Gloucester Police/Fire: Beverly man charged with breaking into boat

GLOUCESTER — A 23-year-old Beverly man was charged with breaking and entering after police found him on a lobster boat at the Jodrey State Fish Pier Monday about 11:02 p.m., according to police.

Police arrested David J. Colasanti Jr. of Fairview Avenue in Beverly when they called the man whose name corresponded with the boat registration and that man said he did not know Colasanti and that no one was supposed to be on his boat.

A man reported his Suzuki Quadrunner 230 four-wheeler stolen from Essex Street at noon Monday, according to police. The owner told police the red four-wheeler has a yellow strobe light on the back, according to the police report.

A Hiltz truck out collecting recyclables Monday afternoon slid on ice and become stuck between a snow bank and a wall on Stanley Court, according to police.

Police said an officer directed traffic around the vehicle and a neighbor voluntarily plowed snow away from the truck, freeing it from the snow bank.

A 31-year-old Norseman Avenue man was arrested on a charge of domestic assault and battery Friday about 5:40 p.m., according to police.

Officers said that Deyvid Borges Do Carmo had held his fist up to a woman’s chin and threatened to kill her. The woman told police Carmo had struck her in previous incidents, also, according to the report.
