Rockport Police/Fire: Man faces charge for lighting fireworks

ROCKPORT — A 20-year-old Squam Hill Road resident was arrested after police said they found him and others setting off fireworks Friday on Quarrie Road.

Daniel Mears was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct about 10:15 p.m. Friday.

Police notified the Department of Public Works of some downed wires on Main Street about 12:46 p.m. Friday.

A woman who was having difficulty breathing outside of the Ace Hardware store at Station Square was transported to Addison Gilbert Hospital in Gloucester by ambulance Saturday about 2:40 p.m.
