Essex Police/Fire: Sunday, police responded to another deer hit by a car on Southern Avenue. Police got the call just before 1 a.m. and found that there was minor damage to the car, while the deer was gone on arrival.

ESSEX — Police responded to a burglar alarm on Turtleback Road just before midnight Friday, but found the alarm had been set off by an animal in the house.

Saturday around 10:45 a.m., a burglar alarm sounded at a Tree Hill residence; police found everything to be secure on arrival.

A Belcher Street resident phoned police Saturday to report a possible computer scam.

Police said Monday, however, they had no other information is available, and police said the issue is under investigation.

Sunday at 7:36 p.m., police and firefighters responded to a carbon monoxide alarm on Southern Avenue. Officers found that the alarm was faulty.

Police responded to reports of dogs loose on Southern Avenue Saturday at around 9:40 p.m.

Police could not find any dogs when they arrived; Essex does not have a dog leash law.
