Manchester Police/Fire: Woman facing theft charge

MANCHESTER — A Manchester woman is now facing a shoplifting charge after police were called to the Richdale store on Beach Street Tuesday at around 9:30 a.m.

Police identified Luba Armington, 26, of Magnolia Avenue in Manchester resident, as the person who was allegedly trying to steal a bottle of wine.

Arminginton is being summonsed in Salem District Court, police said Tuesday.

Police received complaints of people handing out flyers in the area of Union Street at 6:30 p.m. Monday. Officers who responded, however, found there was no crime being committed.

Monday night at 6:45, the town’s ambulance squad transported a male Crooked Lane resident to Beverly Hospital.
