Rockport Police/Fire

ROCKPORT — Police responded to a report of a suspicious male taking pictures at the Rockport MBTA railroad yard Thursday at 3:30 p.m.

Officers, however, could not locate the man.

Police received a report of a wire down across Main Street on Thursday at 2:45 p.m. Officers notified Verizon, which dispatched a crew that repaired the wire.

Officers spoke to a Kitefield Road resident after his neighbor called to report "loud banging" coming from his house.

He quieted down after police spoke to him. Police did not identify the source of the noise.

The Rockport Ambulance squad transported a Parker Street man to Addison Gilbert Hospital in Gloucester on Friday at 9:28 a.m.
