ROCKPORT — A new scooter belonging to a high school student was reported stolen from the school's parking lot on Tuesday.

The teen parked the Wildfire 50-S2 scooter in the lot on Sunday where it was supposed to be picked up by a mechanic for repairs. However, the scooter wasn't there when the mechanic arrived.

The scooter is white with red, black, and yellow markings and is missing its left rear-view mirror.

The key for the scooter is still in the owner's possession.

Police are investigating and ask anyone who may have seen the scooter to call the station at 978-546-1212.

An employee of Hildonen's IGA market on Railroad Avenue reported a bad check at 1:51 yesterday afternoon.
