Manchester Police/Fire: Firefighters put down blaze

MANCHESTER — A fire was reported on the second floor of a Sea Street home at 11:22 p.m. Wednesday, but no one was injured, police said.

A mattress on the second floor caught fire, but was quickly extinguished. The occupant of the home refused medical treatment.

The MBTA crossing gates on Boardman Avenue were reported stuck down at 11:24 a.m. Thursday. The gates were reportedly stuck for an hour, but MBTA workers were able to fix the gates.
