Gloucester Police/Fire: Police probe text 'threats' to woman

A Lewis Court woman told police at 11 p.m. Monday that she had been receiving threatening text messages saying she would "not be here for long." While police were investigating, another message came in, officers said.

Police said they are still looking into the incidents.

Police responded to a report of gunshots at 4:43 p.m. Monday at the end of Woodman Street, but officers searching the area found nothing.

A Willowwood Road resident reported that she heard a child crying at midnight Tuesday, but a search of the area found nothing.

A Bond Street man told police at noon on Tuesday that his debit card had been fraudulently used in Minnesota. The man's bank was informed.

A Finch Lane resident attempting to parallel park on Main Street struck another car at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday, according to police.

The cars hooked bumpers and, when the man realized he was stuck, he tried to drive away, eventually pulling the bumper off the car he had hit, police said.

The man left his insurance information for the other driver.
