---- — Attorney General Martha Coakley, who announced her 2014 campaign for the governor’s seat, has been kicking off her campaign with a whirlwind swing to 18 cities and towns over the last three days.

And that tour will bring her to Gloucester this afternoon.

Coakley is slated to visit the Cape Ann Brewing Company on Rogers Street and greet supporters today at around 2:15 p.m., a campaign representative confirmed Tuesday.

The attorney general, who has already generated extensive Democratic Party support, has been a regular visitor Gloucester, having most recently joined state Rep. Ann-Margaret Ferrante here in June for the Sunday procession of St. Peter’s Fiesta. Coakley has also taken on a lead role challenging federal government action and representing Gloucester and other Massachusetts fishermen, having filed a federal lawsuit confronting NOAA’s catch limits and other policies this past May.

Coakley launched her campaign kickoff tour Monday in her hometown of Medford, and with stops in Brockton, Attleboro, Fall River, New Bedford and Hyannis.
