Manchester Police/Fire: Firefighters rescue kitten

MANCHESTER — Police and firefighters responded to a number of animal related calls over the last two days.

Town firefighters rescued a kitten that had become stuck in a second-floor gutter on Vine Street just before 5 p.m. on Wednesday.

Police said the kitten was unharmed.

Also on Wednesday, police rounded up a loose dog on School Street around 5:30 p.m. and returned it to its owner, police said, while a man from The Plains rounded up another loose dog around 11 a.m. Thursday.

Wednesday around 4:30 p.m., police said trash was reported in the middle of Route 128 southbound; officials were notified to remove the garbage.
