---- — A Perkins Street man was attacked with a knife on Good Harbor Beach Thursday at 4:57 a.m., according to Gloucester Police.

Police said the man walked into the police station Thursday morning with blood on his forehead, claiming he was attacked by two men — one of whom was armed with a box cutter.

According to the police report, the apparent attackers asked the victim for a cigarette, he denied them, and he was then attacked near the concession stand. From the police station, he was transported to Addison Gilbert Hospital.

Police also searched the beach; the Perkins Street man described one of his two attackers of having shoulder length hair. Police could not find anyone matching the descriptions of the alleged attackers and found no signs of a struggle; the man’s glasses were also not recovered at the beach.

Police responded to a report of a reportedly “out-of-control” 12-year-old girl at the O’Maley Innovation Middle School Wednesday at 10:45 a.m.

According to the police report, both of the girl’s parents were there when police arrived, and took the child on their own. The family declined medical transport from Beauport Ambulance.

Officials at the Veterans Memorial School and neighborhood residents phoned police Wednesday at 9 a.m. and again around 1:30 p.m. to report that trucks were speeding through portions of Sargent and Shepherd streets, including a large school bus stop.

Police had an officer monitor the area.

Police stopped a Staten Street woman while driving near the Route 128 southbound off ramp Wednesday around 2:15 p.m.

Police said officers were taking out criminal complaints against Beatriz Torres-Hernandez, 21 for allegedly operating a motor vehicle while uninsured and improperly displaying her registration plate.
