Rockport Police/Fire: Police free child from car

ROCKPORT — Police assisted a 2-year-old child on Stockholm Avenue Thursday after the toddler reportedly locked himself in the car accidentally around 10:45 a.m.

Police said he was not in the car for very long, and was fine when he came out.

Police notified a Main Street resident Wednesday at 4:40 p.m. after the person’s cat was stuck and killed by a car.

Police said a woman was taken from Haven Avenue to Addison Gilbert Hospital in Gloucester at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday.
