---- — A mystery patient at Addison Gilbert Hospital’s methadone clinic is accused of stealing scrap computer parts from the hospital.
Security officers at the hospital reported that a client of the methadone clinic took a computer part off a pallet headed for disposal Tuesday night. They called police about the theft Wednesday at 11:32 a.m.
Neither hospital security nor police have been able to identify the accused.
The owner of the Lanesville Package Store came into the police station Wednesday at 12:29 a.m. to report that a man wrote a bad check for a $59 purchase. The owner said he wasn’t looking to press charges, just get the money he was owed, according to police.
The check writer, when contacted by police, said he was unaware the account had been closed and said he would call the owner to set up payment for what he owed.
A Veterans Way resident called police Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. after a neighbor started banging on the wall and yelling for her to quiet down.
Police told the neighbor to call them if she had a noise complaint, and told her not to bang on the walls.
