Rockport Police/Fire: MBTA reports kids playing 'chicken' with trains

ROCKPORT — The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority called town police to report several kids playing "chicken" with commuter rail trains Friday at 8:26 p.m.

Police responded and checked the tracks, but could not find anyone.

A Haven Avenue woman called police Saturday at 12:33 p.m. after finding a wounded turkey in her yard. Police advised her to call the local wildlife rescue.

A group of motorcyclists allegedly "mooning" people on Nugent Stretch in Rockport drew a police response Saturday at 4 p.m. Officers spoke with the group, but could not confirm that they were the ones exposing themselves.

A patrolling officer found three 12-year-olds riding bikes through the downtown Sunday at 1:27 a.m. The officer called the kids' parents and took them home.

Officers found a couple sleeping in a car on T-Wharf Sunday at 10 a.m. The couple was asked to move.

Police dispersed a group of people from fishing near the Cape Ann Tool Company site Sunday at 12:50 p.m. Police noted that the site remains private property.

The Rockport Ambulance crew transported a Peryn Way resident to Addison Gilbert Hospital Monday at 10:45 a.m.
