Essex Police/Fire: Woman says loose dog attacked her pet

ESSEX — Police received a report from a Grove Street resident Monday at 6:29 p.m. who claimed that an unrestrained Doberman had attacked her dog while she was walking her pet on Forest Avenue.

The owner was not with the Doberman but arrived later, according to police.

Police referred the woman to the animal control officer.

Essex does not have a dog-restraint ordinance.
