---- — A Gloucester man was dealt a jail sentence Tuesday after pleading guilty to heroin possession in Gloucester District Court.
Judge Joseph Jennings sentenced Kyle Fennessey, 26, of 28 Grove St. to seven months in jail, with 53 days deemed served.
Fennessey was arrested in May after police saw him walking on Main Street. When officers approached him, he acted nervous, according to police reports, and kept putting his hands in his pockets. Police searched him and discovered a small bag of heroin and a small electric scale.
Charges of driving with a suspended license brought against Christopher Leach, of 2 Mt. Pleasant St., Rockport were dismissed Tuesday on payment of $150 in court costs.
