---- — ROCKPORT — A Squam Hill Court resident called police to report that a neighbor had taken an animal-safe small animal trap out of his garden Thursday about 4:15 p.m., according to police.

Police spoke to the caller and also to the neighbor, who said she took the trap because her small dog had become snared in it, according to police.

Police said the resident was putting out the traps, baited with cat food, in order to prevent neighbors’ cats from wandering in his garden.

Police, responding to reports of a loud domestic argument, spoke to a Sandy Bay Estates couple Thursday about 9:48 p.m., according to police.

A Granite Street woman was transported to Beverly Hospital Thursday about 2:26 p.m., according to police.
