Gloucester Police/Fire: Another wrong-way driver seen on 128

Massachusetts State Police alerted local officers to a vehicle reportedly traveling in the wrong direction on Route 128 South Friday about 3:46 a.m., but while Gloucester police searched Route 128 South from Gloucester to Exit 15 in Manchester, they found no vehicles traveling in the wrong direction.

The incident came after a New Hampshire woman was stopped and charged with drunken driving and other offenses in a separate wrong-way Route 128 driving incident on Sunday.

Michael K. Tobin, 40, was arrested on an active warrant out of court Thursday about 11:12 a.m. at his Main Street home, police said.

Police arrested a 23-year-old Friend Street woman on an active warrant, after a random query of her vehicle’s license plate showed that she, the owner, was sought in a default warrant out of Salem District Court, according to police.

Tyler Tardif was arrested after police stopped her vehicle at the corner of Western and Essex Avenues, police said.
