---- — The Taste of Cape Ann offered Gloucester and area diners the chance to sample food and beverages Tuesday night from nearly two dozen local food purveyors.
And well over 200 people turned out at Cruiseport Gloucester to do exactly that.
This was the fourth annual evening of food and festivities hosted and sponsored each spring by the Times, by gloucestertimes.com and Cape Ann magazine in conjunction with the Times’ and gloucestertimes.com’s Taste of the Times food coverage and online recipe and video features. Each week, Taste of the Times showcases local chefs and restaurateurs in cooking demonstrations and features multiple illustrated recipes.
Last night’s event was not a competition for the vendors, but it did produce two big winners.
Those were The Open Door food pantry and services agency, and Cape Ann Animal Aid — both of which benefitted through proceeds from the event.
