A 35-year-old Gloucester man faces charges of driving without a license and speeding.
According to police, Mark White Jr. of Washington Street was driving on Washington Street when police allegedly noticed him speeding. While continuing southbound along Route 128, he was pulled over at 9:51 p.m. Wednesday, and the police officer asked to see his driver's license.
According to the officer, White said "I don't have my license, it's been suspended," and the officer confirmed that was the case.
A Prospect Street resident reported that someone had broken into the apartment below him at 7:51 a.m. Thursday.
When police responded, they searched the apartment with Mako, the department's search dog, but found no one inside.
Police spoke with the person who lives in the apartment and discovered that a friend was staying there, with his knowledge and permission.
A Friend Street man reported at 9:20 a.m. Thursday that he had been receiving harassing phone calls from an ex-girlfriend. Police are investigating.
