Kids 'test-drive' town vehicles

MANCHESTER — You could say it went off without a hitch.

After being rained out a week ago, the kids turned out for Manchester’s Touch a Truck event on Tuesday evening.

Parked behind Town Hall, with doors open to invite small people inside, were some of the town’s police cruisers, fire engines and Department of Public Works equipment.

Lemonade and cookies were served at the event, which was organized by the children’s room staff of Manchester Public Library.
