Essex Police/Fire

ESSEX — A Winthrop Street woman called police at 4:13 a.m. Thursday saying she heard a loud crash outside of her residence.

Police responded and searched the area, but found nothing out of place, officers said.

Police received a report of a man going through a dumpster on Western Avenue at 11:40 a.m. Thursday.

He was gone, however, when police arrived. Officers said it has not been confirmed whether it was the same man seen dumpster diving earlier in the week.
