Gloucester Police/Fire: Woman bruised, man accused in domestic assault

A Harvard Street man was arrested at 12:15 a.m. Friday after he was accused of assaulting a woman on Centennial Avenue.

Christopher Tome, 23, faces a charge of domestic assault and battery. According to the woman, she and Tome were arguing when she attempted to leave a home in order to calm the situation down. Tome allegedly then followed her onto the street and beat her.

A neighbor saw the woman crying and called police. According to the police report, the victim had a large bruise over her eye.

Erik Dundon, 32, was arrested on a charge of domestic assault and battery Thursday.

A woman told police that Dundon had pushed her down at 10:21 a.m. Thursday following a fight in his Patriots Circle home.

Police arrested Dundon on the street after speaking with the woman.

A boy playing basketball at Swinson Field on Thursday night said a number of BB pellets were fired at him.

The boy's father called police at 11:04 p.m. Thursday, but a search of the area found nothing. The boy was reportedly not injured.

Police were called to a Harvard Street home for an 8-year-old who was reportedly "out of control" Thursday at 4:03 p.m. Peace was restored, according to the report, and the officers left without incident.

A Trask Street man reported a FedEx package containing a $75 laptop battery stolen from his doorstep at 4:49 p.m. Thursday.

A Willow Street woman reported to police at 11:55 a.m. Thursday that she was harassed by a Addison Street man at the Gloucester train station.

The woman said no threats were made, but that she was afraid the situation could escalate. Police did not file any charges.
